The only thing that is convincing is that perhaps aspects shouldn't be titan blood locked.

Right now, a common complaint with titan's blood is that ppl need to upgrade but can't, and instead of just presuming that there is somewhere else to improve, they presume that being able to respect their titan blood being the pivotal thing that will change their performance. Like how in an rpg, you save that super healing item, but surprise, you never actually need it because you weren't challenged enough. The "too good to use" syndrome only exists when someone is actually finding themselves never needing to use anything at all. Slight randomness there and you'd have to spec for it, but all in all it sounds like you're assuming that the system in place should allow you to upgrade everything with enough titan blood just by completing the designated challenges.įor a roguelike like this, I don't find that necessary at all. You can also buy titan blood occasionally before Hades.
I feel all of this in addition to increase the too good to use syndrom players often suffer from are enough reasons to change this system. In addition to that I need to say that currently the zagreus aspects themselves are in comparison pretty boring and are basically not worth investing in. But getting rid of diamonds and ambrosia might limit the player in maximizing their relationships or constructor progress. Yes you can trade in some occasional titan blood with the lesser trading ressources. Resulting in the need for a lot of patience which wont yield you anything or quite some luck with trading. You earn a few for quests like 20 which means we are still missing quite a lot. Which means we need 51 titan blood or 9 titan blood more than can currently earned by bounties.
If we consider the spear as the first finished weapon we need 5+15+16+15 titan blood to maximize all aspects. As far as I know the whole hunt for titan blood ends with heat 20. Originally posted by nash:There are other problems with the current system.
